I had to get out!

So it was apparent today when I was at work for only a few moments, I needed to get the hell out of there. If it wasn't for having to pay bills and a Mortgage I would so rather just ride my bike all day. I would not even have to race really, just ride. No, I take it back, I would have to race at least once a month. I guess it's just in my blood. Damn if I could only make money at it.

I'm nowhere good enough at the moment to do such things but who knows, maybe one day. Hey a guy can dream can't he??

Between crazy employees and the crazier customers, I had to go. I went on a really slow ride up at Loch Leven. Nothing special to most folks but this is one of my prime thinking spots. I think it's like almost 3 miles or so to the top from the parking lot. It's all broken up rocks, lizards, snakes and tones of bushes. I'm allergic to a few of these bushes so if you are ever up there with me this is when I look like I have a worm up my butt when I'm ridding. I'm squirming around on the bike trying to avoid those rash giving plants.

I was feeling pretty good and motored on up to the top. It was calm and peaceful but the sounds from my stomach were telling me I had to get some food. Now Loch Leven is either good to you on the way down or down right scary. It was one of those scary days. The kind of days that remind me why I shouldn't ride a mountain bike alone in the woods. It seamed every turn wanted to slam me down on the ground. I had many close calls but managed to stay up. I don't know if I was able to stay up because my skills have improved or just the sure fear that if I go down I would become food for the nite creatures. I was also thinking about the fact that I couldn't afford to replace this carbon frame should I crush it on a rock. Hell, the bike isn't exact ally paid for so it would be like buying two at once! OUCH, that would suck balls!

When the little trip came to an end I had to let loose in a plate full of pasta and some Red Rocket Ale. It was a fine end to another solo rid (it's how I roll ). I still need to get the fly out of the back of the Super Honda and wash my kit. Of course I could leave it in there and ride again tomorrow after work. Seeing as how at the end of my road ride yesterday, my rear tire decided to come apart right down the street from my house. I could get another one after work but it makes for a good excuse to ride the dirt again.
